C5

The Community Cat Coalition of Clark County, also known as C5, enables the community to humanely manage the feral community cat colonies and their population.  They trap, spay/neuter and vaccinate these cats through effective Trap/ Neuter / Release (TNR) efforts.  They favor animal preservation, not destruction.  We have joined the efforts of C5 to help support the feral community cats from being put in shelters and euthanized.

As a part of C5's efforts, they provide Free TNR Classes to help educate the community of the feral colonies.  The volunteers of C5 safely trap populations of feral cats, with humane TNR efforts, then release them back into their community.  The formation of neighborhood groups to manage cats has worked well and are supported however possible.  We, as a community of people who care about these cats, are the only resource with the scale required to make a difference.  With the current resources stretched as they are, it is vital that expansion is done in a careful and planned way.

Are you looking for a unique pen pal program for your classroom?  One in which your students could help support an animal while educating each other?
This kitten classmate pen pal program is designed to help students learn and improve their writing skills while discovering about a rescue animal and his/her adventures, allowing your students to create a personal relationship with their sponsored classmate. 

Children write to our animals that are growing up in our foster homes.  Each animal grows up in a warm, safe, loving home until their forever family adopts them.  Your students will have the satisfaction of helping to support the wonderful kittens at All Fur Love Animal Society, which is rewarding for both child and animal alike.

• Bio sheet on your kitten classmate
• Your classroom’s name displayed on our website
• Letters from your kitten classmate will be sent monthly until adopted
• Your choice of whether you would like factual or fictional letters for your classroom (factual letters are from the  kitten’s caregiver; Fictional are from the kittens point of view)
